Abstract
This thesis is a collection of poetry documenting my pursuit of reclaiming my autonomy. The collection contains themes of nature, childhood, family conflict, and emotional growth. This is a creative work using memory and metaphor to understand the feelings I have struggled to articulate throughout my life. The purpose of this collection is to give myself a voice after years of staying silent and to reclaim my identity apart from my family and past. The collection contains 23 poems, organized chronologically, some playing with tenses and ideas of the future.
