Abstract
The Physics Department, University of Arkansas, celebrated its centennial during the academic year 2007-08. The celebrations consisted of a series of Centennial Lectures by distinguished physicists during the year, culminating in a three-day event from April 3 to 5, 2008. Highlights of the events included Maurer Centennial Distinguished Lecture by Nobel Laureate Wolfgang Ketterle, a talk on the 100-year history of the Physics Department by Raj Gupta, Presentation of Centennial Medallions to former/emeritus physics faculty, reunion of faculty and former students, and a banquet attended by about 400 faculty, alumni, students, and guests. This book represents an archival record (mostly pictorial) of these events.
