Abstract
The so-called "free press-fair trial" controversy is hardly unique to our modern age of electronic journalism, although there is little doubt that it has been heightened by technological developments. This article analyzes courtrooms denying and allowing journalism and the interplay with the First Amendment and preventing prejudice to the defendant through various Arkansas Supreme Court cases.
