Volume 1, Issue 10 (2024)
Years after the first issue of The Diamond Line was released, we are still inspired and awestruck by work that cuts us deep. For this issue, we hoped to honor the magazine’s past, to intertwine modern voices with vintage aesthetics, invoking something entirely new. Some works are inevitably rooted in the rural culture of the Ozarks and the American South. Others transport us to an expansive future. All are uniquely beautiful -- all truly shine like diamonds.
For some of our contributors and editorial staff, this was their first time contributing to a literary magazine. For others, it was a welcome return and a familiar escape from the world around us.
Former editors returned, as they often do after their stints, to contribute work to this tenth issue. Past contributors stepped up to help create the newest issue. No matter which way you look at it, the spirit of the Diamond Line never really leaves you.
We could not have done this without the patient guidance of the amazing Jane VB Larson. This magazine would not have been possible without the incredible work and imagination of our contributors, the dedication of our staff, and you, the reader. We’ve dedicated months of our time to craft a magazine that is uniquely ours, and we’re proud to say it is finally yours. We’re so proud of what we’ve made together and we hope you love the tenth issue of the Diamond Line.
