Abstract
During February and/or March 2020-2025, various fishes were collected with a modified minnow trap and hoop nets from the White River drainage of the Black River at Black Rock, Lawrence County, Arkansas. A total of 35 species within 11 families were collected and the following taxa represent new distributional records: Acipenseridae: Lake Sturgeon (Acipenser fulvescens); Polydontidae: Paddlefish, Polyodon spathula; Catostomidae: Quillback (Carpiodes cyprinus), Highfin Carpsucker (Carpiodes velifer), Blue Sucker (Cycleptus elongatus), Northern Hogsucker (Hypentelium nigricans); Leuciscidae: Creek Chub (Semotilus atromaculatus). The most significant discoveries were the collection of A. fulvescens, P. spathula, C. cyprinus and C. elongatus.
