Restraint: Poems

Kristin Mason, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville

Abstract

Restraint is a collection of poetry. The poems, relying heavily on metaphor and imagery, explore such topics as loss and grief, panic and anxiety, the complexities of human relationships, and the intricate world of video games and their players. A mixture of strict forms and free verse, the poems are often solemn and thoughtful, occasionally darkly humorous, and are an honest reflection of the poet's unique worldview.
