As we were walking around Isla de Mozambique on one of our weekend excursions, these boys started to follow us around. None of us understood Portuguese and they didn't understand English, yet we were still able to communicate, play with them, and have a great time. They showed us around their city, pointing out their favorite parts of their culture. I bought them sodas and we parted ways until the next morning when they showed up at our hostel! We had breakfast with them, drew silly cartoons in the sand, and then they posed for us as they tried to be as big as us!
