Dean, Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design: Peter MacKeith

The Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design, founded in 1946 by John G. Williams at the University of Arkansas, houses professional design programs of architecture, interior architecture and design and landscape architecture together with liberal studies programs. All combine studio design education with innovative teaching in history and theory; building and intelligent technologies and urban design and resiliency. In 2009, the school was named after internationally renowned architect Fay Jones (1921-2004), who built a distinguished career in his native Arkansas, far from major design centers and was a member of the university’s first architecture class.
