Each spring, the COEHP Honors Program hosts an annual Symposium where students have the opportunity to present posters of their Honors projects to faculty and peers. Judges then score each poster presentation, with top student presenters gaining recognition. Poster presentations are also used as the final Honors thesis/project defense with approval of the faculty mentor.
The COEHP Honors Symposium provides Honors students valuable experience in writing an abstract, creating and presenting a poster, and explaining their work to others. The goal of the Symposium is to build skills that will help prepare students to attend professional conferences as they progress in their chosen career.
