Abstract

This honors thesis explores the multifaceted benefits of extracurricular activities for undergraduate students. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and data analysis, this study examines the impact of participation in extracurricular activities on academic performance, personal development, and future career prospects. The research also considers the role of extracurricular activities in fostering a sense of community and enhancing social skills among students. A personal analysis of extracurricular activities offered at the University of Arkansas offers an extensive look at the direct benefits and potential hazards connected to extracurricular involvement. Findings suggest that involvement in extracurricular activities positively influences students' overall undergraduate experience and prepares them for success beyond the academic realm.
