Abstract
The delight of biting into something sweet. The freedom of getting lost in the movement of your own body. The sensation of being completely enveloped by color. The flutter that rises in your chest when surrounded by abundance. Sweetly Somatic traces personal sensory experience across time, transforming ephemeral moments of joy into forms that capture enduring perseverance. Sculpted from fluxing ceramic materials, piped grout, and glass adornments, the works examine the elasticity of memory, both bodily and retrospectively. My bodily sensations are my most accessible form of joy, and a filter that all experiences move through.
