Abstract
An internship is an essential milestone in a student's academic and professional journey. It provides an opportunity to gain practical experience, learn new skills, and make valuable connections in the industry. Over the summer of 2022, I had the opportunity to intern at Walmart Inc., a multinational retail corporation that operates a chain of hypermarkets, discount department stores, and grocery stores in the United States, in its Capital Markets team through the Walmart Accounting & Finance Development Program. During my 12-week internship, I embarked on a professional journey that entailed supporting my team's activities through financial analysis, data management, project management, and relationship management. This thesis paper explores how my internship with Walmart's Capital Markets team has impacted my career, technical, and personal development and how I navigated and learned from the Fortune 1 company: Walmart Inc.
