At the Mitai Mäori Village, the locals displayed their culture through various forms - one of them being a ride in a waka (MÄori for canoe). The warriors dressed in traditional attire as they chanted war songs accompanied by a drum. Meeting the MÄori people was the highlight of my time in Rotorua.
