The external program that I studied abroad with took us on a tour of Alicante, Spain and its castle, Castillo Santa Bárbara. When we arrived at the castle, we trekked higher and higher while learning about its history. The hike seemed endless, but when we reached the top, we had the most amazing view of the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the city on the other.
