Abstract
Northwest Arkansas continues to lead the state of Arkansas in K-12 education. This report card presents a regional overview as well as key performance indicators for each district. Northwest Arkansas’ public school enrollment has increased 29 percent in the past decade, and our schools have enjoyed increased racial and ethnic diversity. The 15 districts and 3 charters in Northwest Arkansas are committed to preparing students for success in college and careers. Northwest Arkansas districts continue to pursue the goal of putting their graduates in position to be successful college students, and several of them are now working to establish specialized programs intended to help students identify quality jobs even if they don’t intend to attend college. Several of these new programs are highlighted throughout this report card.
