The factors are useful in the treatment and prevention of certain disease states. It also provides compounds that can be used to treat and/or prevent infectious bursal disease and infectious bronchitis disease. The low molecular weight anti-viral factors present can provide a new vaccine for the treatment and/or prevention of diseases in poultry, other animals, and human.
