Department Chair: William Oliver

Established in the early twentieth century, the Department of Physics at the University of Arkansas boasts a strong international reputation in nanoscience and quantum materials, condensed matter physics, computational physics, quantum optics and quantum information, astrophysics, and biophysics including neuro-physics. The department offers BS, MS, and PhD degrees and a minor in physics.
