Abstract
ANG is a core requirement for political science majors, and it is one of two options for fulfilling the ANG and History core requirement for ARSC students. This is a lecture-based course that draws heavily from the text to organize the main concepts and ideas. I am finding more students are not purchasing the text for a variety of reasons. I am also finding the rate of DFWs are increasing in this course. The all-inclusive text may improve student outcomes. These findings indicate access to the text is important for student success.
