Abstract
Non-tenure track faculty can join the Wally Cordes Teaching and Faculty Support Center for best practices in developing research using the scholarship of teaching and learning. This session will share information that all who are classified as non-tenure track faculty members can use to develop the scholarship portion of their teaching. The goals of the session are to understand why it is important to create research from your teaching, learn examples of what other successful colleagues do, develop potential ideas on how you can create research in your courses, and learn about opportunities to present at the University of Arkansas Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Symposium in April. Most non-tenure track faculty conduct significant teaching and developing research around this workload can lead to more recognition and promotions.
